“Behold, I Will Do a New Thing”
By FaYah 🤎
“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”
— Isaiah 43:18–19 (KJV)
As the calendar turns to August, I can’t help but smile when I think about the number 8. Throughout Scripture, the number eight often points to new beginnings—a fresh start after something has been completed.
After the flood, eight souls stepped off the ark into a renewed world. On the eighth day, a child entered the covenant through circumcision. Time and again, Yah used the eighth day to signify moving from preparation into purpose.
That makes August more than just another month on the calendar for me. It is a reminder that Yah is still in the business of doing new things.
Maybe you’ve been carrying disappointment.
Maybe you’ve been grieving what didn’t happen.
Maybe you’ve been waiting for an answer that seems delayed.
Isaiah reminds us of something powerful:
Don’t become so focused on what was that you miss what Yah is doing now.
Sometimes we pray for open doors while standing with our backs to them because we’re still staring at closed ones.
🌿 What New Beginning Is Yah Calling You To?
A new beginning doesn’t always mean a new location, a new relationship, or a new career.
Sometimes a new beginning is:
- A renewed mind.
- A surrendered heart.
- A healthier boundary.
- A restored faith.
- A fresh vision.
- The courage to take one faithful step.
New beginnings often start quietly. Before anyone else notices a change, Yah has already begun working within us.
🌅 My Prayer for August
This August, I am choosing to release what I cannot change and embrace what Yah is preparing.
I am choosing:
- Peace over pressure.
- Faith over fear.
- Obedience over comfort.
- Hope over regret.
- Purpose over procrastination.
I don’t need to know every detail of the journey. I simply need to trust the One who is leading me.
🤎 A Personal Declaration
As I welcome August, I declare:
“I will not live in yesterday’s disappointments. I will not allow past mistakes to define my future. I believe Yah is making a way where there seems to be no way. I choose to walk boldly into every opportunity He places before me. My season of new beginnings has arrived.”
🌾 Reflection Questions
As you enter this new month, ask yourself:
- What old mindset do I need to leave behind?
- Where is Yah asking me to trust Him more?
- What first step have I been delaying?
- What “new thing” might already be beginning in my life?
Sometimes the greatest miracle isn’t that our circumstances change overnight.
Sometimes the miracle is that we do.
So, welcome August.
Welcome fresh mercy.
Welcome renewed hope.
Welcome unexpected blessings.
Welcome new beginnings.
Because the same Yah who parted the sea is still able to make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
May this be a month where your faith grows, your purpose becomes clearer, and your heart remains open to every new thing Yah has prepared.
Happy August!
